It’s the end of an era. since it launched back in April 2000, miadidas has provided athletes, sneakerheads, and casual wearers the chance to create unique sneakers produced to their personal specifications. Back then, this was an entirely new concept, allowing everyone to customise products to their own liking. However, we’re sad to announce that miadidas has officially been shut down.
This news comes six months after adidas announced they were shutting down the confirmed app. According to Dan Freebairn of @KickPosters, miadidas will cease to exist on January 13th. You can still customise kicks up to then, but you’ll notice that a lot of the products and customisation options have already been taken down, with extremely limited sizes and colour options available.
With all that said, it’s not all doom and gloom, as Freebairn did also say that adidas “will explore new opportunities for customisation”;. Whatever this may be, only time will tell, so be sure to keep it locked at The Sole supplier for more news as it develops. In related news, adidas Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection is lighter than lightweight.
